Description

This is a surprisingly clean unrestored car. This car has been sitting literally in a barn for the last 10 plus years. Overall its a good solid car that runs and drives well. It could be driven as is or it's a great candidate for restoration as a very clean body. The engine fires right up and doesn't smoke and has great power. The transmission shift fine and there don't appear to be any issues with the rear end or brakes. That's the short version. If you are interested in the car and want to know all about it that is coming next.
Starting at the front. FRONT BUMPER is very straight but lightly pitted, definitely repairable. RUBBER HEADLAMP DOORS are nice and unbroken. GRILLES are nice and solid with no breaks visible. Left headlamp rings are nice but right ones are pitted. Lower valance is very nice. Park lamps are nice with light pitting on the chrome. HOOD- is very nice with no visible damage either on top or underneath. LEFT FENDER- has a poorly done repair at the very front bottom edge about 6" in diameter that is coming apart and has rust. Repairable. Behind the wheel well seems to be fine and the rest of the fender seems nice and solid. LEFT DOOR- is very nice with only some light pitting at lower front, nice on the inside including the bottom and the drains. Left mirror is nice but left door handle is pitted and would be cheaper to replace. LEFT ROCKER both inside and outside appears to be good and solid. LEFT QUARTER- has a 2" spot in front of the wheel well about 18" up from the bottom and about 3" from the bottom up where it goes inside the wheel opening. There appears to be heavy undercoating at the front of the wheel well that is peeling so I'd be inclined to believe that there is a small area of damage at the bottom of the wheel well also, but no other damage in the wheel well. The quarter overall is surprisingly nice overall and appears to be original with no visible seams at all. There is an old repair that isn't to bad about 8" in diameter at the top rear of the quarter that seems to be pretty minimal and shallow that is starting to crack. TRUNK FLOOR- appears to be very nice with no visible rust at all to include the trunk extensions. DUTCHMANS PANEL- very nice. PACKAGE TRAY- very nice. DECKLID- very nice. TAIL PAN- very nice. TRUNK GUTTERS- very nice. REAR BUMPER- needs replaced, not repairable. RIGHT QUARTER- appears to be original as well with no visible accident damage and no seams. There is visible spotting about 2" in diameter in the middle of the top of the wheel opening. There is large bubbling about 10" in diameter at the front of the wheel opening and small surface spots at the front of the quarter. RIGHT WHEEL WELL- has a 4" hole at the very bottom with no other damage visible. RIGHT ROCKER- appears to be very solid. RIGHT DOOR- is very nice, door handle is pitted. RIGHT FENDER is very nice except for inside the wheel opening at the bottom of the wheel opening behind the wheel. Its pretty minor but still there. COWL VENT- very nice. ROOF- Probably the most surprising part of all. The roof seems to be really solid. This would probably be the first vinyl roof car I've ever seen that has an undamaged or non rusted roof. I cant say with 100% certainty but I cant feel a single soft spot in any part of the roof or pillars! It feels very solid. All of the roof trim is there and none of it is damaged. Both windshield trim sets are there with only one piece on the front windshield on the right side dented. Floors- The floor on the right rear has some spots through it but the rest of the floor appears to be solid. Bot front floors and the left rear don't appear to have any rust through. The whole bottom of the car has light surface rust but is really pretty clean. INTERIOR- The interior is very complete and original. Appears to be completely unmolested. Dash pad is cracked and there's a small 1 1/2" hole above the drivers seat. Steering wheels is nice with no cracks. Seats are all nice for their age but the drivers has a crack from the sun on the back rest top left, the passenger has cracking on the piping and the rear has a small split on the top of the backrest. The door panels are very nice front and rear as well as the armrests and hardware. The windows roll up and down nicely but the felts are bad. The carpet is decent with no wear spots or tears. ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN- There is no visible damage, rust or otherwise. The car has a 2bbl 350 pontiac engine with a turbo 350 transmission and a 10 bolt rear end. The car start right up with no issues, it doesn't smoke and it runs strong. The car shifts fine and stops well. The car appears to have a newer radiator, hoses, and battery. I hope this helps anyone who is interested in this car but if you still have questions please feel free to ask or call and I'll try to help the best I can. Thank you, Clint. 719.358.1860
