For sale by private collector is a un-restored 1977 Trans Am Special Edition Y82, W72 4 Speed with 45,277 original miles and in out-standing condition. Originally sold new here in Massachusetts and has been garaged its entire life and is exceptional inside and out.
100% original rust-free, never damaged sheetmetal body which received a professional quality base coat/clear coat paint upgrade approximately 17 years ago which is a like glass finish and laser straight.The decals and correct GM molded pinstriping are all in perfect condition and were applied with perfection.Due to the original paint on the inner doors and underside oftrunk lid being in excellent condition, it was decided to not re-paint and leave original with original decals left untouched. The original Hurst sticker on the door is in tact but does have a smudge mark on it.As mentioned, the body is amazingly straight with the exception of a very very minor ding on the right fender just above the Trans Am decal and one near the drivers door handle which again is very small and can barely be seen depending on the angle. The paint is not marked at these locations.All of the weatherstripping on the doors, T-Tops, hood scoop are original, soft and in greatcondition. The trunk weatherstrip has been replaced.All original glass in excellent condition including the Hurst Hatches.The trunk area is untouched and all original including mat, spare tire, inflator, jack, Hurst bag, speaker, speaker cover etc.
As you can see, the Buckskin interior is in outstanding condition. The car originally came with a standard interior, but was upgraded to a deluxe. The original seats which are in excellent condition and will remain with the car.The dash, gold bezel, console and goldsteering wheel are in perfect flawless condition. The headliner has been replaced with exactmaterial.All gauges work perfectly including the radio, front/rear speakers and 8-track. The clock does not work. The second hand runs occasionally.
Engine, transmission and drivetrain are all original and numbers matching. The undercarriage which is extremely clean and dry, stillshowing factory markings, was lightly undercoated and appliedtastefully when the car was new.Havereceipts for parts replaced/upgraded over the years keeping it original but dependable to drive anywhere. The exhaust has also been replaced with new chrome tips.The Goodyear Steel Belted tires are like new and have very few miles on them.The car runs, shifts, drives and handles like it looks and is very smooth riding.
I have the original window sticker along with MPG fuel economy window sticker, original build sheet, manuals, pamphlets, copy of previous title, along with receipts/documents.Additional pictures available upon request.
