Description

First time offered for sale in many years.

My 1967 Firebird is in excellent condition cosmetically and mechanically. Cowl tag indicated that it was originally Cameo Ivory paint, but was repainted about 8+ years ago in the Cadillac 3 stage white pearl you see. Car was completely stripped to bare metal before being painted. Excellent paint work. Stunning pearl metallic in the sunlight

It is not an HO (High Output) as the decal indicates. It was added to add some contrast to the all white paint.

The factory deluxe interior is called Brilliant Blue and it is also in excellent condition. The front seats were recovered with reproduction covers to match the original. The carpet was also replaced with new. The rear seats are original. They are showing some fading on the top of the seat where exposed to sunlight. The rear tray also shows fading. The door panels are original and excellent.

It was represented to be and believe it to be a numbers matching car, but have not verified block numbers. Believe it has the original 326 Cubic Inch V8 with a 4BBL. Believe the carb was upgraded to Edelbrock, as was the air cleaner and valve covers. Very clean engine compartment. Inner fenders are excellent. As you can see, the brake booster could use some detailing, but it starts easily, runs good and shifts and drives well. No major leaks. Originally came with a two speed Powerglide, but was replaced with a superior Turbo 350 3 speed. Has tall gears, guessing in the 2:90-3:00 range. Easily cruises down the road at freeway speed. 80 in Idaho.

Not a factory A/C car. Has been kept in garage for the entire time I have owned it.

Original odometer shows 63,000 miles, but I have no clue what actual mileage is on the car.

Has vintage Cragar SS mags. Fronts are 2” narrower and the backs are slightly taller for that perfect hot rod stance.

Overall it is a great car that can be taken to car shows and driven with pride. Not a 20 footer. Outstanding up close.

It was my intent to resurface the trunk in the correct Zolatone paint, but I have not gotten to it yet. It will come with the car.

Firebirds are going up rapidly in value as are their Camaro cousins. Firebirds used to be the poor man’s Camaro, but that is changing. I just looked up the NADA value for a 67 Firebird 2 door hardtop with the 326 4bbl and it shows $54,850 for a show car, which this is not. It shows $27,000 as average retail and I think this car meets the average retail definition for condition. It shows low retail at $13,000 and this much better than low retail condition. My reserve is set way below average retail and it is going to a new home. I have too many cars and not enough storage.

Vehicle is located in Nampa, Idaho 83686 near the Boise Airport, if you elected to fly in and drive it home.

Any questions, call Kurt at 208-345-1400. Have not added a Buy It Now price, because I am uncertain of the actual market value until it has been exposed to the market. You are welcome to make a Buy It Now offer though. If acceptable, I will add the option.

Have only found one tiny area of rust on the car and that is at the rear of the driver’s side rear wheel opening. It is tiny. You can see small bubbles and one area of rust the is ¼” or less in diameter. We are guessing that mud caused the rust in that area. Straightforward to repair. The total area is perhaps ¼” wide and about 1.5” long.

Southern Idaho vehicles are in demand, because we have an arid high desert low humidity climate, so vehicles tend to typically be free of serious rust issues. No pictures underneath, but have access to a lift and could take a few, if serious.
