1981 Pontiac Trans Am Firebird that is in very good overall condition (only 77,511 miles). The exterior was repainted at some point due to California's tightening pollution regulations. The water-based paint often failed and delaminated during the warranty period and subsequently, these cars had to be repainted. The original gold colored screaming chicken hood decal was replaced in 2008 due to fading with this red/orange version. The interior is original cloth, clean and in good condition. The engine easily cranks and runs strong, though there is a slight oil leak, possibly from the valve covers. This car has been garaged since purchased in 2008 and has a battery trickle charger installed. A new exhaust system was just installed this past June 2019. There were a total of 70,899 built in 1981, but only 13,578 produced with this 4.9L Turbo Charged 8-cylinder engine.
