Vintage Motorcars is proud to present this 1979 Pontiac Trans Am WS-6.
This T/A was originally a southern car, and is completely rust-free. This classic T/A originated from Virginia, and then recently moved to New York in 2015. This car is rock-solid and very well taken care of. This car comes with a clear title, and full PHS documentation.
The exterior of this car has been professionally repainted in the correct Solar Gold color in 2013, and looks amazing! During that time; all new decals were also applied, and they still look like brand new. The car is lazer straight, and shows extremely well.
The Camel Tan interior is in excellent shape as well. The seats show very nicely with no rips, tears or cracking on any of the upholstery. The dash is also in great shape, and all the gauges work properly and are nice and clear. This car also features the super-rare Hurst T-Tops. Also featuring tilt wheel, factory air, power windows and automatic transmission. Everything works just the way it should, and is a true pleasure to drive.
The original 403 V-8 is very strong, and shows no signs of smoke or any other issues. The engine features some mild upgrades like Edelbrock Performer intake and headers. The carburetor was replaced along with spark plug wires, distributor car and rotor, and the battery. The entire A/C system has been gone through and works perfectly. This is a very reliable car that you could drive on a daily basis if you wanted. It cruises down the road without running hot, and holds great oil pressure.
The original transmission shifts perfectly through the gears without clunking of shifting hard into gear. This car really does run and drive just like it should.
It also features the WS6 handling package, and believe me… it makes a difference! You can feel the better handling between this car and a stock 77-79 T/A. To assist; new shocks and sway bar links have been installed. All sitting on iconic Snowflake wheels and brand new tires.
All-in-all… this Trans Am is a solid, mostly original and rust free example of one of the most iconic classics. The nicest thing about these cars is they are still affordable to get in to… for now!
