Description

Overview.. The frame on this car is very solid. All glass is good, driver quality floors, the body has some Bondoand is decent overall but is not ready for paint. The engine and transmission was a 400 andTH350taken from a 77 Trans Am that was wrecked. This is a power steering, power disk brake, bucket seat car. This was an A/C car but the parts that bolt onto the engine are missing.
New stuff.. I did a 4 wheel power disk brake conversion to it and had to upgrade to 15 inch wheels so the brakes and wheels have zero miles on them. Upper and lower ball joints and sway bar bushings are new. The rear bumper is practically new. New interior kit including door panels, arm rests, seat covers, carpetand insulation, headliner, front kick panels with speakers, rear decklid, grant steering wheel, aftermarket console. The front wheel wells are new along with the battery box. The transmission crossmember is new.The outside doorhandles are new. I replaced all the door lock cylinders. I have lots of new weatherstripping and window felt.
What the car needs.. The engine and tranny were just bolted in so there are wires, and vacuum lines and kickdown rods and shift cable and stuff like that you will have to take care of to get it running. The TA had aftermarket intake and carb so this intake will need to be bolted in along with rebuilding the carb. I did connect the fuel lines. Gas tank is empty but looks good. It needs a complete exhaust, I have the exhaust manifolds that were on theTA that might work but some 1970 manifolds would flow better. It needs an air cleaner assembly. The rear diff needs a service and needs a new input seal. The floors are OK for a driver but not a show car. Thereare a couple of patches. The door panels will need to be mated with the old ones. The seat belts are incomplete. It had a bench seat when I got it but found some bucket seats for it and reupholstered them. The driver side bucket seat has a brand new frame and springs but the foam needs trimming because it puts me too close to the ceiling. The headrests should be recovered.Maybe you are short so you can skip that. The rod for one of the wipers is missing so you will have to find that. I ordered a rear sway bar that needs installing. The dash pad has a crack but it looks repairable or I would have ordered a new one.
For those of you wondering about how much bodywork it still needs my best answer is "some". I'm not a body man. It has some bondo, I didn't see any coming through the other side of the rear quarters. The wing and front bumper need some work. There is a little bubbling on the lower corner of both doors. I'm sure someone with a little experience could get it prepped for a presentable coat of paint inside of a few days. Maybe you want to sandblast the whole thing and turn it into a show car, that'll cost you some bucks. If you want to see it in person before bidding I'm free most of the week and would be happy to show you the car.
Misc.. This is a column shift car but I have the bare bones of an original console that might save you money if you want to make a floor shift car. It came to me with a tilt steering column that I thought would help withthe switchbut the splines do not fit the gear box. I also have a floor shifter. I will take pics. I have some brackets that will need to be welded in for the bucket seats. I was going to drop this off at my mechanic a couple of years ago to get it running but went to the Mass RMV and they said it needed a previous registration so that didn't happen. I recently found out about Vermont being easy to get a car registered in so I drove up there last weekgot some plates and the car now has a current registration so you won't have to worry about that. This is about all the details about this car I can think of, email me if you have any questions. The hood is off the car but I can bolt it on,I could never get it to latch properly. It was originally a soft top car, I still have the proper moldings if you want to do that but I hate the look. The car was originally green with the ugly 70 Lemans nose. I was planning on painting it Verdoro Green.
Shipping.. If you want to arrange something that's fine as long as the vehicle is paid for. I would be willing to ship it within a couple of hundred miles but my trailer hitch would need replacing to tow a car.
