PHS documented one-owner car. Stored since 1981. Correct Y8 motor with all Super Duty components, freshened up and blueprinted by Nunzi’s Automotive, the Pontiac expert in high performance, according to original owner, prior to storage. The engine has less than 100 miles since rebuild.
Engine and transmission were re-sealed and all components verified as correct Super Duty items. Nunzi performance camshaft installed (2042) with 1.65 rocker arms. Transmission was upgraded by TransGo and the shifter has the ratcher option from GM-a rare option.
Floors and trunk dropdowns were perfect and rust-free (50% of underside floor paint is original). Not a nut and bolt restoration, approximately 75% of parts are original to the care except for fair wear and tear items – belts, hoses, clamps, brakes, exhaust ($1500) condensor, radiator, weatherstrips, u-joints, front carpet, headliner and sill plates. Paint on the firewall is original.
Body was stripped of all components and paint, epoxy primed, block sanded many times, and painted with the original Admiralty blue. The body is laser straight. Subframe, differential and all other underbody components were sandblasted and painted with the correct factory colors. Much research was done to ensure correctness and a GM Assembly manual was used during reassembly to ensure correctness. New subframe bushings were installed.
The interior is all original and in amazing condition. The car is a faithful representation of a Super Duty Trans Am and is authentic. The fifth digit of the VIN is “X” indicting it is an original Super Duty Trans Am. A statement from the original owner accompanies the car.
