Description

Up for sale here is one very clean, well cared for, and highly sought after 1969 Grand Prix, Model J. (2 door Hardtop Coupe, 8-cylinder 400 cid/350 HP 4 Barrel.)

This is a 2-owner vehicle, which is currently titled at just over 5k miles, and the odometer shows 19,859 currently; however I believe that it has 119k on it. Since we can not prove otherwise at this time, I would rather overstate the miles than mistakenly understate them so as not to deceive any bidders.

I am selling it for the 2nd owner. He is my neighbor, and also a disabled veteran, as am I. (I just have more computer savvy and a good reputation with eBay and online selling). So that is why I have listed it rather than the owner doing so.

This car is in very good condition and needs absolutely nothing to be driven daily. It is not museum quality, but it could probably take some trophies at small local car shows. It’s a real eye catcher and under the hood and the underbody are extremely clean and in remarkable condition for a 47 year old unrestored car.

This model came with limited options by modern day standards. 1969 was the first year that the GP had the radio antenna hidden in the windshield, and this model also had an electric heated rear window defroster. Other options included the cut pile carpeting and the Cloth and Morrokide vinyl seats.

The current owner added the following options:

  • ¬New Doug Thorley Ceramic coated headers
  • ¬Flowmaster stainless exhaust system
  • ¬Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor
  • ¬Cragar wheels and lug nuts
  • ¬Boston Acoustic speakers and amp
  • ¬6x9 Speakers in rear dash, 2 12” subs in the trunk
  • ¬Custom Grand Prix floor mats

This big old beauty is amazingly powerful yet quite comfortable to drive or ride in. The car goes straight down the road, doesn’t sway, shake or rattle. It accelerates like a luxury muscle car should and it stops on a dime. The molded and curved dash surrounds the driver so all the instrumentation is right there and easy to see. The tall bucket seats almost wrap around your body as well.

Full disclosure of known imperfections!

All of these will be shown in the last 4-5 pictures.

These are the only things keeping this car from being in excellent condition in my opinion:

  • •There is a small paint chip on the hood
  • •There is a small paint chip on the drivers door edge
  • •There is a small paint bubble on the trunk lid
  • •There is wear show and a seam tear in drivers seat

That’s it!! That is all I can say bad about this car.

If the owner weren’t in some financial trouble from his divorce, he would attend to these things and keep his beautiful green baby. But he doesn’t have the time or the few hundred dollars it would take to make it all perfect at this time.

But back to the good stuff now!

Please check out the pictures of this pristine engine compartment as well as all the pictures of the undercarriage. This car is simply as clean as they can be for this era and age.

And I failed to mention earlier when boasting about how well it handles and drives, that this is due to the fact that the owner recently refurbished the entire front end including new suspension and adding air shocks. The front end is just plain tight!

This is flat out a reliable and dependable vehicle. As a matter of fact, I am so convinced that this is a dependable car, I am willing to offer to drive thePontiac to you anywhere in the U.S. up to 3200 miles from 02360 for .60 per mile, calculated one way. The return trip is at my expense.(Beyond that distance buyer would be better off paying a transport company. Most of them can ship from/to any area of the country for $500-$1800.00). But otherwise I will deliver it personally. The person you are paying is the person that will show up with it within 1-4 weeks of full payment.

For those flying, busing or taking a train into the area to pickup the Truck, I am willing to pick you up in Boston Ma, Providence RI, or even Manchester NH. But you have to communicate with me in advance to schedule the pick up. I work days, and go to school nights, but I will make the time to pick you up if I have notice.

If you plan on having an auto transport company pick it up, I will work with them, and can even bring it to one of 3-4 local transportation centers for you if you choose not to pay for door-to-door service. (Some companies only offer terminal-to-terminal service depending on where you live etc.).

The bottom line is I am here to accommodate you and help both you and the seller consummate a fair and smooth transaction so that he get the funds he needs and you get the dream car that you deserve.
