1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Coupe
Description
For sale is my 1979 Trans am. It is listed as an anniversary edition which I don't think it really is, but has decals on the side that say it, and the car was originally silver. But the vin says it is a trans am. The car was originally silver as were the anniversary editions were. The previous owner painted it red and put a 78 front bumper on it to make it more like the smokey and the bandit front end. It is a really nice car and gets a million looks whenever I take it out. First I will list the good things. It has a fresh new bright red paint job. I believe it's called matador red. Really nice black interior. It's had a strong 350 engine now instead of the factory engine pushing low 300 hp. New battery, New dual exhaust..sounds amazing, it has a nice jvc CD player, I would honestly rate the interior a solid 8.5-9 out of 10. It even comes with the original owners manual!!!The paint is a 9-9.5 out of 10. Even has a new flaming bird! New b.f.g radial ta on American racing wheels. The car will move!!! I had so many offers to sell it that I finally decided to let it go. The negatives.. window tint is showing its age, no ac anymore. It was taken out when the 350 was put in. (Before I bought it) there is a spot on the front windshield that is cloudy, not cracked or damaged but about a 3x2 inch cloudy spot., the stereo even though new could use some good front speakers. Sounds ok just not super loud. Mileage is probably 110k instead of 10k. Other than that the car is a solid 8.5 -9 out of 10 and I am very picky. I even put new trunk carpet in it. For a cruisin night or show off car or just to re live the 80's, this is the car for you! Be cool like Burt Reynolds, do smokey burnouts in front of your jealous neighbors. Or waste that kid in the civic in a street drag., have fun with it! I am happy to answer any questions. I have set a fair reserve based on what people have been offering me for it. The car is for sale locally and therefor I have the right to end the auction at anytime. There is a $1000 non refundable deposit (balance minus 1000 still due) to be paid within 24 hours or your bid will be cancelled and a strike against you on eBay. Please do no bid unless you actually intend to buy. This is relisted because ebay member humph_oqhajk bid on it but didn't pay. Shipping /transport is the buyers responsibility. Payment due in full before pick up. I will hold the car for 1 week after auction end.
