1966 GTO convertible
Description
Hello everyone, up for sale is my 1966 GTO convertible. The car belonged to a good friend of mine since 1990 and has been stored in doors the entire time he owned it. I bought the car last year and finished assembling it so that it could be back on the road. This is a real 242 car with the original build sheet included. The engine is a 400 block, which i have all the information for by the shop that built it. I went ahead and put an original tri power setup back on the car. The transmission is now a 400 turbo trans which is also rebuilt. Both the engine and trans have less than 100 miles on them. The bodywork on this car is beautiful. The car has had all the floor pans replaced, both quarter panels, wheelhouses. The hood is new and both doors and fenders came off of a rust free car. The whole body was stripped down to bare metal and epoxy primed, I have some photos of the restoration. The paint is metallic gold, which the car came from the factory with. I had the painter add some metallic silver in it and the end result was great, the paint is job looks very straight. 95% of the chrome is brand new, any good trim was taken off and sent to an expert polisher that I know. Almost all of the nuts and bolts on the body are brand new. The car also has new duel exhaust all the way from front to back with flowmaster mufflers. Overall the car is beautiful, you wont be disappointed when you see it in person. I have the PHS report for the car, as well as the original build sheet and over 20k in receipts. I have a clean green title in my name. Please call or text with any questions, (248)-212-2724 I can also provide a video of the car upon request.
