1980 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 for sale. Project car 95% done.
I like this car but have ran out of steam working on it by myself. It needs a few things and its not perfect but its a nice daily driver. I will go over every thing it has and needs so you know exactly what you are getting.
Built in California, 2nd owner owned for 30+years before I had it.
Car features:Miles on body 130KMiles on motor 75K
Rear disc brakes (WS6)Motor is an early 1967 Olds 425 out of an 1967 Olds Delta 88Motor has 75K miles on-New alternator-Oil pan main gasket-Rear main seal gasket-Edelbrock high rise Aluminum intake-New Hei distributor-New Taylor made wires-New plugs-New(powerful)Battery-New pulley belts-New water pump-New alternator-Aftermarket headers (used)New mounting locations has to made in the frame for the engine and tranny. I also planned on using a chain to keep the torque from the motor from twisting the uni-body. I think tie-ins are recommended for this car when HP and TQ get higher just fyi.
Body:-New front grille inserts-New rubber installed in factory t-tops-New kickdown cable for gas (needs installed)-Spare new windshield for free
What this car needs:
I can't get it to stay idling the timing needs adjusted. It needs a customdrive shaftcut to fit the larger olds 425and automatic transmission it came with. I have adrive shaftthat comes with it you just need itcut. It needs the exhaust finished right now its open headers. It needs door pins, I installed two of them but the other two needs installed, comes with the car. The interior needs new seat covers and a headliner. The shaker hook needs to be fixed to the engine with a piece between the shaker and the carb. The only real "major" thing wrong with the car is the electrical. Nothing works after the swap I would just get a painless wiring harness for $500 and be done with it.
Like I said, I like this car, but I never wanted to drive it beforebecauseitwasn'tfast. I did all this work to make it fast but have just lost interest infishingit as its too time consuming with my new job.
The car is in pretty good shape. You can see there is minimal rust on it. There are a few tiny spots near the gas tank but for the most part its a clean car. There is some surface rust in the trunk but its solid.
I've tried to list everything I can, just being upfront and honest its really not a bad car at all, its so close to being done it just needs someone who's motivated to actuallyfinishit.
(edit: If you look on the left drivers drivers door there is a scuff that needs buffed out from a fallen board, yes stupid thing thathappenedin the garage.)
Please call only. Every time its a text its a scammer and I'm not going to be nice. I work 50hours a week I will call you back that day when I get a chance.
( A few pics was back when it was driving before the motor swap)
