Description

Up for sale is a 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet. This rare car with only 1824 imported to the U.S. is Alpine White with Midnight blue interior and blue cloth top.

I’m putting this car up for sale after almost 2 years of owning it because I upgraded to a 911.

This car is a true daily drive with collector car up side due to its rarity. It list with 172,000 miles showing on the odometer but it is closer to 200,000 as the odometer gear is broken and I’ve not gotten around it fixing this.

This car was saved after sitting for many years in South Carolina. So it has some cosmetic issues like the dash is cracked as is the steering wheel. Some minor tears in the still comfortable 8 way power seats.

The paint is original to the car and show some blemishes on the driver side rear fender and door trim.

The dash is been covered in color matched hard plastic shell.

The top was replaced and still looks new with clear back window.

This car came factory equipped with Full power seat-left, Automatic speed control, Sound package, Alarm system, Air conditioner, Anti-lock brake system.

I’ve spent a lot of time and money bringing this classic back up to what is deserves to be. It is a blast to drive and one of the best handling sports cars you can get for the price.

This car is priced what I think is fair for the condition that it currently is in, you’ll be hard pressed to find one at a lower price than this in any condition.

The following list is all the repairs and upgrades I’ve done.

Dinan DINATronics Performance ECU chip is installed. Will include stock chip.

Clutch Slave and Master Cylinders.

Tires are less than a year old, they are Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval.

Trunk Seal dry as a bone now.

Plugs, Clewett Engineering High Performance Ignition Wires, Cap and Rotor.

Lindsey Racing Fuel line and Fuel Damper hose kits.

The infamous Timing chain pads replaced.

CV Axels with new Stage 8 locking CV bolts.

Replaced the rear Porsche logo.

Dash clock repaired.

LLyod floor mats up front, factory still in the back.

All new coolant hoses and clamps.

Rebuilt power steering pump.

New Remaned A/C compressor and conversion to R134a Runs nice and cold.

Rebuilt Alternator

New headlamps.

New air Filter.

Rod bearing and pan seal.

Blaupunkt Bluetooth head unit.

Oil cooler seals replaced.

Missing Buttons on A/C controls replaced.

Missing passenger side sun visor replaced.

Power door lock arms and missing pull knob from passenger side replaced.

New Hood Struts

Brand new brake pads

That said there are still some things that are not working or things I’ve not go to yet.

Power steering rack leaks some so have to keep an eye on fluid level.

Oil is seen on bottom of pan, I’ve replaced the pan seal and oil cooler seals so its most likely coming from the front main seal. It’s not a lot might have add a quart between oil changes.

The age of the timing belts an rollers and water pump are un known. Looking at the belt in the peep window on the cam roller housing the belt show fine no cracks. No strange sounds coming from water pump.

The back light for the dash board currently don’t work when headlight are on. This is a problem with the headlight switch.

Age of the clutch is unknown but it feels fine through all the gears.

Any question I’ll be happy to answer the best I can. Thanks.

Local pick up or will work with your shipping company. Must come to me I will not deliver to shipping ports.

Note about AutoCheck listing so many owners this is not correct. A U.S. Airman bought the car and moved around so the car was registered in many states and this shows up as a new owner, but as for as I can tell from the records I have I'm the forth owner of this car.

Its a blast to drive.
