Description

Feel like you are Tom Cruse in Risky Business in this completely stock unmolested 928s up for sale. This car has been garage art at my shop for about 8 months. It has all the hard to find normally broken parts intact; like the air intake tubes. I haven’t daily driven the car so I can’t say its a daily driver but this would be an awesome weekend or summer car. Its started right up for me every time and hasn’t left me stranded. This car is also being listed locally so I reserve the right to end bidding early. AS IS, NO WARRANTY as are most older cars on eBay. Equipped with a 5 liter (305 cubic inches) V8 with 32 valves that will sling shot you to 60 in roughly 6.9 seconds. The whine of the cam drives, the tap of the hydraulic tappets, the rush of the gases flowing through the intake and exhaust systems, the hum of the various shafts and gears all blend together to sing the muted song of a happy mechanism. The top speed reaches 157mph! This motor produces 288 hp @ 5750 and 302 lb-ft @ 2700. It churns out more then 250ft-lbs from 1300rpm - 6000rpm allowing you to get through traffic with little effort and plenty style. The Transmission is located in the rear to help it achieve a .83G on the skit pad, making the weight distribution almost perfect. The enveloping, cocoon like interior is still as attractive today as it was when the car rolled out of the showroom. The front seats are the definition luxury sport. All the power adjustments work which is huge. A small down side, the drivers side front seat is worn from the years of fun this car has provided. The bolsters are still in great shape. The rear seats keep you planted when you are out on the back roads. They are in great shape. It has the rear ventilation which blows strong. The rear console has some wear where the leather is pulling of, the rear panels are pulling apart and the dash is cracked in a few spots but its not falling apart. However, an easy fix for the next owner. The exterior is in good shape, has the normal paint chips that you would expect. The paint is almost like looking into a mirror, great reflection. This 80’s supercar will have everyone wanting to talk to you at the gas station. Most of the panels are aluminum and the steel parts have a heavy galvanization on them so rust is not really a problem with these cars. All the glass is in great shape with no cracks. On phone dials with good tires. Front set match and rear set match but they are different front to back. The major downfall to the exterior is the headlights will not go up with the switch however, you can manually crank them up. All in all this is a solid car and will give the next owner plenty of good times.
