An easy full restoration was performed on this matching numbers original California car which was in pretty good condition from a start
Body
It is a solid rust free car, floors are perfect, everything was gone through, the body was painted recently, new rubbers and windshield. Note that the car has its silver strip all around the windshield and back glass which is really important and frequently missing on these cars. Fenders and hood are both original.
Interior
Seats had been redone by previous owner. The rear shelf never has been holed for speakers, like we often see. The black headliner is in good condition and the floor carpets are new. The steering wheel is the correct period and the original green gauges work perfectly. All these details give a good feeling inside the car.
Mechanical
The engine performs beautifully and the compression is 140 on all 4 cylinders.
Valves were adjusted, clutch and starter are new, Webber carburetors were rebuilt, etc. The transmission shifts as it should, brakes were completely redon, tires are new.
