1957 PORSCHE 356A COUPEBEAUT, SIMPLICITY AND PURITY IN DESIGN 1957 Porsche 356A coupe . Just recently removed from 10 years dry storage . This is a very late T, built approximately March of 1957 . The rear teardrop lights are original and correct and all other T1 features are present such as 5 bolt door striker, "fat back" seat, the ash tray in the dash and the horizontal inside door handles / window winders . A lovely black on black ca, quite clean , presentable , good looking and good running . By no means a show car , more a combination of preservation and sympathetic restoratio, it would fit right in at most local shows or rallyes and vintage events . It is very rust fre, straight and pretty . The paint is probably 20 years old (it was a black car from the factor, a bit rare, and has some imperfections and patina of age but overall is nice to look at . It runs drive, shifts and stops fin, a bit of smoke on the initial startup and clears out after warmup . If it suffers from anything it is lack of use .. it needs to be driven . The interior is also very clea, set off by its flat wooden Nardi style wheel , period Blaupunkt radio (not working) , and new German square weave carpets . Previous to its being store, it received a new set of tires with chrome wheels and a German made "sport" muffle, along with brand new Weber downdraft carburetors and correct air cleaners . The current mileage reads 2648, but the true mileage is unknown . It comes with a partial original tool kit and an owners manual .All of the chrome and alloy brightwork is quite nice including the side window chrome which is very goo, which if you have restored any 356', will know is a big job and expensive to make correct . The car # is 100288 and engine # is 610653 . These early coupes never go out of style and have always been extremely desirable . A great opportunity if you have been looking for this type of car .We have taken many photos trying to show all aspects of the car , so please do look at them all and then , should you have any question, please as, before buying.
