Description

WIDERSTANDSFAHIG 003 widebody Porsche Outlaw
Now offered...
The third edition in the award winning Widerstandsfahig series of widebody Porsche Outlaws. Tastefully updated, handcrafted, driving machine.
Widerstandsfahig 003 was built following the concept of a streetable track car.
First, the donor was stripped to a roller. The HVAC system, radio, back seats, and all other non-essential elements were deleted in the name of weight savings. (If you want to listen to the radio or need A/C, take your daily).
The interior is the first of our "RS" style. Again, weight savings in mind without going overboard. The carpet is light weight, padding omitted most everywhere. A red accent pipping adds attitude to the cabin while framing the white gauge faces and highlighting the door cards.
As for the abbreviated center console, it now houses the window and sunroof switches. Enough open real estate remains for additional gauges or a data logger.
For safety, a bolt-in roll bar is installed with RJS cam-lock harnesses.
The engine is a General Motors 5.7L LS1 V8 with 18K miles on the clock mated to the Porsche 5-speed transaxle via a Corvette bellhousing. Rated in stock form at 350hp/365tq. With the few changes made during the conversion, headers etc. The power output should be improved to over 360hp. The engine conversion used Renegade Hybrids conversion parts, in business since '83. Simply the best. The engine internals remain untouched in stock form.
The widebody and Aero- The nose is a complete unit as are the front fenders and easily removable. The rear fenders are seamed into the chassis just above the hip line. Total weight for the five pieces is 45lbs. give or take a few oz. Made of hand laid fiberglass with gelcoat. The rear receives a "mini tub" to make room for the larger tires. The paint codes are all Porsche codes from the '86 model year, base color is Slate Grey metallic.
The Aero on Widerstandsfahig 003 is not available to anyone other than a Widerstandsfahig owner. The wing pylons and splitter are proprietary and each chassis receives it's own wing end plate design separating it from siblings.
Wheels- The billet 6061 aluminum wheels are Widerstandsfahig exclusive's. Each set is cut at the time of the build from four 50lb. rounds of aluminum and assembled in house. The set on Widerstandsfahig 003 is only the 2nd on the planet! The front measures 18x11 with the back at 18x12.5". The wheels, like every part of these beauties are designed with weight savings in mind. FEA tested for strength. Tires- A new set of tires, your choice of manufacturer and style are included in the sale (If asking price is satisfied).
To date three Widerstandsfahig's have been produced. 001 & 002 are both award winning cars. This is a chance to own the third in the series. Ownership includes certificate of authenticity and placement on our website in the Widerstandsfahig registry.
*** This car is slated to be featured in Region Rides Magazine's June issue. The photo shoot has already taken place!!***
