This car was originally converted to a rally car in 2003. It only raced in 2003 and 2004. During the last race, it suffered a hard landing that rolled back the front sheet metal pan under the trunk. I have the new OEM panel to replace this.Theredoes not appear to be any damage to the chassis of the car. Since then, it has only been driven recreationally.
The builder stated that he purchased the drivetrain from Jeff Zwart. It is the Paris Dakar drivetrain that has a 125 MPH top -speed with adjustable front/rear torque split. The serial number on the engine shows that it is a European 1991 RS, NGT, or Cup car engine, and it is believed to be 300 hp. The car runs great, but needs suspension work to handle properly. It also has a full set of aluminum skid plates/belly pan that go with it, but are not mounted in the photos.
Included with the car is the SCCA ProRally log book. The log book shows that the car was 7 rallies in 2003 and 2004.
Component serial numbers:
62N80621 - engine
G6400 3L00925 - transaxle
Z6400 1003431 - front differential
