You are looking at a 1979 Porsche 911SC Coupe. I purchased the car in '89 and have owned it since; it's a 2 owner car -- both owners in Colorado. This car looks great, drives great and sounds fantastic. If something needed fixing it got fixed. All the necessary upgrades: Carrera chain tensioner upgrade, pop valve, stainless steel brake lines, factory recalls up-to-date. Upgraded muffler with quad exhaust. Like new Continental tires (9/32s tread front and rear). Alpine Blue Tooth Stereo (hands free). Fitti steering wheel. MSW wheels. H4 headlights. My mechanic thinks the car may have had a suspension upgrade but we are not sure – handles like a slot car but not too tight around town or on the highway. Lowered. No buffeting with the windows down and smooth and quiet with the windows up.
Exterior: Car went though a professional color change before I got it (silver to red). New paint since then. Some stress cracks in the tail but fits tight and looks good. Left front fender professionally rolled in for track clearance (common mod for track use).
Interior: Some minor wear on driver's seat and crack on top of dashboard. Also, very small crack in trim on top of driver's door.
Engine/Transmission: All matching numbers and recent oil analysis passed with flying colors. OEM short shift kit. Clutch feels great.
Electrical: Everything on car works except Cruise Control which is intermittent. Even the oil level gauge works and is accurate. H4 headlights. New battery.
AC: “All” AC components upgraded to modern. Recent service on AC and it works great.
Records: Some but most disappeared during move.
Extras: A set of Flatstoppers, Euro Headlight Lenses (yellow), air pump (for emissions inspection), CB radio installed under seat with all controls in mike/speaker (uses radio antenna), hard wired for Valentine radar detector, Battery Tender, battery disconnect and more.
Car needs nothing. Drive it to work everyday. Take it to the track. Show it off. Or, just let it sit in the garage and appreciate in value. You will fall in love with this car. Who says you can't buy happiness?
