Description
1974 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 2.7 SUNROOF COUPE --Light Yellow with Midnight Leatherette and Black carpeting, Matching Numbers with Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, 5-speed manual transmission. Factory options include: California equipment, Additional cooling coil, Rear spoiler, Bilstein shocks, “Carrera” body graphics, Tinted glass, Bumpers with impact absorbers, Light metal wheels, Electric sunroof and Manual antenna. The first year of the “G” series body, 1974 was a major turning point in 911 development. A strengthened chassis, impact bumpers and the new “short hood” look combined with the RS’ flared fenders, wider wheels and iconic ducktail gave the Carrera a more athletic personality without detracting from the car’s famous profile. Paired with the 911 S’ 175HP K-Jetronic fuel injected engine, the Carrera could achieve 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds and topped out at 142mph giving it the performance to match its racy personality. This 1974 911 Carrera 2.7 Sunroof Coupe has benefited from proper maintenance and care to date. It now shows just 73,000 miles from new. Originally a California car, it has a rust-free undercarriage and has only a single repaint in its original and correct B-code Light Yellow paint. The engine was removed and resealed in July 2013, showed no wear and has recently passed a compression and leakdown test with excellent results. In addition to the Carrera-standard rear spoiler, Bilstein shocks and extra-wide Fuchs aluminum wheels, this well-kept 911 has an electric sunroof, tinted glass and AM/FM radio with manual antenna. Documentation includes owner’s manual, recent maintenance records and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. In excellent condition and ready for immediate use and enjoyment, this rare Carrera 2.7 is a welcome addition to any Porsche enthusiast or collector’s garage.
