Selling a 1987 Porsche 928 S4 Automatic, Cassis Red. Selling the car for a friend given I know a bit about these cars. He hadpurchased the car for himself but due to some family problems he is unable to keep it and had asked a few friends to sell the car.Car has a Clear NJ title and can be registered immediately but it appears to have had somesalvage history (Picture from actual title provided). Car is showing about 75K miles as actual mileage. Since I don’thave much of the history on this particular carI will try to list as much information possible and also include some extra pictures. According to some of the receipts that came with the car the following repairsalso listed on one of the pics have been done on the car, Water pump, timing belt & tensioners-tension rollers, engine oil pump gear, rear disk brakes, 2 front calipers, 18 “ wheels, etc. A receipt from 8/19/2016 shows that some work like the fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, etc had been replaced (billwas approximately $1255.00). Car starts up and seems to be running & driving fine. The interior for its age appears to be in a decent shape but there are some cracks on the dash as shown. There is a dashcover that comes with the car and will be included. The rear hatch carpet seems to be newer and the color is more red than burgundy like the rest of the interior. Rims appear to be in good shape but the tires are worn and would need to be replaced. The color on the car is Cassis Red and from what I know not many cars were produced with this color and its unique yet one of those colors you either love or hate. There is an aftermarket CD player installed that’s fully functional. Both switches for the windows may not be working properly as sometime they work and at times they don’t. Overall for its age the car appears to be in decent shape and it starts and runs and drives fine. If you are looking for a Porsche 928 this may be a good starter car that may not require a lot of work.I was considering keeping this car for myself and part it out butI don't have the heart to break this car up as its probably worth more money in parts.Either way, since this is not one of my cars and 30 years old I am selling the car AS-IS therefore please bid accordingly. If you are near Bergen county NJ and want to look at the car you are welcome to do so but you will need to tell me a day or two in advance to make arrangements. Please email me and I will try my best to accommodate if you need me to take pictures from a particular part of the car or if you need any additional information. Buyer is responsible for shipping but I will happily work with a shipping company to arrange pickup of the car if you need it shipped.
