Description

Early 1967 Porsche 912 - Polo Red with Black Interior
The car you are looking at in this listing is a 1967 Porsche 912 2-door Coupe. Spent most of its time garaged. This car has matching numbers. Late '66 manufacture date with its original "1966 style" deck lid brightwork. It is an excellent example of a nice 67 Porsche 912 that you can take the decision to put to use as a regular driver or it can exclusively graceyour garage, or both. It's in excellent shape inside and great exterior cosmetic shape. There are various videos below of the car, further down the page below the videos in addition to the 24-eBay hosted pictures there is an embedded photograph slideshow album with nearly 2,000 pictures in it to satisfy even the most discerning connoisseur. What more could you want? This 912 has a long list of recently replaced parts. Like any vintage car, you would want to go over the car before you head out on a trip across the country. I know for a fact that at least a couple of the tires are 30+ years old and although they may look OK you would definitely want to replace them. The dashboard has some deformity and I think you'll want to get to that. All the systems need to be gone through thoroughly for safety checks, as that's not something I am an expert in and a fresh mechanically minded professional needs to be able to really get around the car to get it to the standard to where you would want it, whatever that standard is. Lights, or at least not all lights, are not working and shouldn't be relied on. This car turns heads and gets lots of attention. People come up and want to ask questions and wonder in amazement of the beauty of this artwork and sleek machine, as ~50 year old Porsches are getting rarer and rarer to see with every passing month. Now that the car is 49 years old and because I have damaged knees and damaged back making future manual shifting impossible it is time for me to say "Adieu..." to my sweet and loved 912 and let a new owner take it over. Something I've always loved about this car is its unique original VDO gauge for outdoor temperature which was optional and rare from the factory for the left-most gauge where other cars hav, officially known as the "Ambient Temperature Gauge."
The are videos of the car, and in addition to the 24 eBay-hosted pictures there are approximately 1,700 (seventeen hundred) pictures of the car in the embedded slideshow photograph album below the videos. I did all of these photos myself to the best of my ability holding the camera high and low and and every angle, much of the time without even looking at the viewfinder to see specifically what the camera was photographing so I there would be no possibility of intensional bias/exclusion.
I will provide trailered delivery and transport to port of New York for $50, total including toll charges. If you want the car delivered to another Port or to a location within 250 miles that can be accommodated.I've been on eBay for many years and have a lengthy positive history with eBayers from all over the world. Trust is clearly important and it makes a big difference when buying and selling.
