Description

1992 Porsche 968 base coupe. 6 speed manual transaxle, Alpine White with Navy blue leather interior. Exterior paint appears to be original and shows no sign of a respray. Paint still looks good with no clear coat peel, and is in decent shape for a 25 year old car. Car starts up and runs well with no known mechanical issues. However as with any older vehicle, there are a few minor items that will need to be addressed by the next owner. Among them are; R12 air conditioning system needs to be re-charged, some of the exterior trim along the rocker panels are starting to separate and will need new plastic clips. The trim around the rear hatch needs to be re-painted (flat black) and re-sealed. The odometer quit working a few years ago. The speedometer and tachometer still work, but the odometer does not. The tires are nine years old (replaced at 133968 mi) and are starting to weather check. Although they show almost no signs of wear, they will need to be replaced due to age. I have the original service logbook from the previous owners, it shows the timing belt, balance belt, water pump, clutch disc, and rear flywheel seal replaced at 121950 miles. I also have the complete shop manual on CD that I will include with the sale. I have not used the car much since I bought it from a friend approximately 14 years ago, so it makes no sense to hang on to the car any longer.
