History: This car has been sitting since in a covered garage for the past 30 years or so. I was recently discovered, purchase, and put in good working mechanical order. The long term owner had it for many years and was rarely driven (that is why it has 69,269 original miles.)
Exterior: This car still appears to retain its original Signal Yellow paint(L20E). The paint is in good shape and shows very well. It does however a few blemishes here and there have, but nothing major. It is rare to find an original paint 914 in such a stunning color. All of the doors, window, hood, deck lid etc open and close properly. This car still retains all of its matching number VIN tags. This cars exterior is stock and original. This car shows no signs of any accidents, or major rust issues.
Interior: The interior is also in very good shape. The interior condition matches the car original miles. The dash is in excellent shape, the seats, gauges visors are also in very nice shape. The steering wheel is showing some age at the 12 o’clock position. All of the lights, gauges, and electrical work properly on this car.
Engine/Transmission: This car still retains its original engine/transmission. The car starts right up and shifts smoothly through the gears. This is a solid running/driving car. It has a new battery.
Wheels/Suspension/Brakes: This car is fitted with 4 original Fuchs alloy wheels with new tires. The wheels are in good shape and are complete with the center caps. The suspension on this car is in good shape and the shocks are Bilstiens. It has a rear sway bar. The brakes appear to have been rebuilt prior to the car sitting. The do hang up a bit but may free up after some normal driving. This car has new front rotors. The rear hubs have studs that were added and I have included a set of used hubs with no studs should the owner want to convert them back. I have also included a set of the long lug bolts needed for the Fuchs wheels.
Overall: This is a very original, low mileage, early 914 survivor. This would be a great addition to ones collection or use for personal use. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
