Gooding and Company Auction Estimate 2 years ago, of one of the 11 silver 1965 911's was up to $550K, it sold for $407K. Buyer got a great deal. See sale in photos. This is a very good opportunity to own one of the 11 for much less then $407K.They begun to offer Silver color to the public in Sep of 1965 mostly for their 1966 models. This car was completed in May 1965 Silver color was not offered to the public then. (See Porsche factory color chart in photos). According to the car's Kardex this could have very possibly been a factory race ready car, because it shows lots of work done to the car immediately after it was completed (See Kardex)Looks like they continue to race the car, in 1973, cause body panels were updated aerodynamically and has a 2.7L 1973 Engine. The Transmission is original 1965 factory matching #'s from Kardex.
If racing history is found from Germany, the car can be very valuable as it is now.
Or spend $50K restoring it and you will have one of the 11 rare silver Metallic classic 1965 911's. Worth up to $450K. USD.If you have any questions please ask. Ferr 323-767-77 five three
