Optima Redtop AGM battery (new)
New shift bushings
Stuff to do:
Oil leaks - no more than usual for 2.7L
Fresh air blower doesn't work - don't really miss it either
Rust bubbles from bad windshield install (see pictures) - surface rust only, metal is solid
Rust bubble on right rear fender lip (see picture)
If you look closely, minor body work needed on inside left front wheel well to make perfect (see picture). Body is perfectly straight with paperwork from Custom Alignment (suspension specialists) in Mountain View, CA.
Jackpoints should be ground off and replaced
Tach bounces sometimes when you have the turn signal on?
No front spare tire (picture of tire in front trunk outdated)
I'm selling because I need a daily commuter but Bay Area traffic is horrendous and an air-cooled car needs moving air to cool it. I bought in September 2017 and have put about $4,000 in sorting out little issues like full tune up, sticky throttle cable, frozen fuel sender, worn out shift bushings, etc. It now runs as well as you can expect a 45 year old car, but the 1st gear synchro will need replacing in a year or two.
Any questions about the car, please feel free to contact my Porsche mechanic, Bill Eason, of Eason Auto Works: http://www.easonauto.com/ or (510) 420-126.
