1979 Porsche 928 5 Speed Manual
Description
I'm listing my 79 928 for sale. This is a sunroof delete 5 speed manual car in Oak Green metallic over cork interior. The body is straight and solid. There are no rust holes and even the battery box is solid and clean. This car has been repainted and the paint is in poor condition. The driver and passenger seats have been recovered and look brand new. The dash has the usual cracks along with the pod. Mileage is not original as the odometer is not working. Trans shift fairly well but synchros do show signs of wear and you really can't shift real fast. I've put approximately 2000 miles on the car since I've owned it. It starts and runs well. As of the beginning of this month I'm experiencing an occasional no start when the car is hot. It starts everytime when cool. I'm guessing a starter is going bad? Unfortunately there's no Porsche service in my area. This car has no A/C. It was removed at some point prior to my owning. Most all accessories are working. All lights work, power windows, stereo, rear wiper and front wipers, heater fan. Somethings that dont work include, dash lights, exhaust has leaks and break wear indicators not working. Rear hatch doesn't lock down properly. It closes and shuts but if you lift hard on it you can pop it open. The lock doesn't seem to lock properly.
The car is 39 years old and is in decent shape. I'm just trying to list things that come to mind. Please look over the pics and ask questions if you have them. I dont have a long history with the car but know some of it.
