1967 Porsche 912 Coupe
1 of only 630 built for the US market, over the years many were parted out, the drivetrains and brakes went to the 356’s and body panels were used to rebuild and repair 911’s. How many are actually left in existence. This solid complete example is also numbers matching. This car was driven into storage in 1999 in Central Texas. We turned the engine over by hand to see if it was free and it was. So we then added a new battery and an external fuel source it started and runs. Please see video this is all we did we have not checked or serviced anything. We do have the Kardex and have clearly pictured all of the numbers in this auction to show it is an authentic numbers matching car. The panel gaps are good and the doors shut nice. One rare option listed on the Kardex is the Porsche travel kit, it is still with the car. The original kits are now selling on the open market in the $4k range. We have clear pictures of it listed here. This is a factory 4 speed, 5 gauge car that was originally White color code 6604 but was color changed many years ago. The original black interior looks complete and presentable. The A/C is missing the compressor and under dash unit. The floors are solid with the exception of the front floor toe board areas. The chassis is clean please view all detailed chassis and undercarriage pictures. The body of the car is solid with some surface rust on bottom of the front fenders and doors. We do not think any full panel replacements will be required.
In short 1 of 604 US cars numbers matching with KARDEX, engine runs, solid Central Texas car with very rare Porsche Travel Kit. We price our cars to sell and this 912 will have a new owner soon.
SIDE NOTE: Prior owner claims to be original one owner Texas car, he moved in 1991 and changed the title to new address therefore we can only prove Texas owner since 1991.
