European Motor Studio is very excited to offer this beautiful 1979 Porsche 928 5-Speed Coupe fresh out of a long term local Arizona private collection. This example is a very early 79 model year 928 having completed production in August of 1978. Invoiced to North American and then shipped to Dave Strong's Porsche Audi in Salt Lake City Utah where it sold new to its first owner in 1978, the car lived there until moving to Arizona in 2010 and... having only traveled a mere documented 49,840 miles since new. The mostly original Indian Red paint shows remarkably well having just undergone a full wet sand buff and polish, it retains a beautiful deep finish and shine. The interior is in very good original condition showing minor age to the driver seat. The drive seat has a little separation in the vinyl material around the seat back release button which is visible in the pics. The carpers are all original and in excellent condition and the original dash is in fantastic shape. There are no cracks in the dash or binnacle other than the hairline crack which is shown in the pics around the front defroster vent. This 928 is fresh out of a local private collection where it has just undergone a major mechanical refresh. We recently did a major mechanical service including the timing belt and tensioner, camshaft, crankshaft and oil pump seals, new water pump, new plugs, wires, coil and cap, rebuilt the fuel distributor and replace the mounts, new fuel injectors, new fuel accumulator, new vacuum lines and EGR vacuum control, brand new clutch pilot bearing, clutch discs and throw out bearing, new master and slave cylinders, new clutch hydraulic lines, brand new shifter bushing and brand new tires. The car performs incredible, it runs and drives incredibly tight and shifts very smooth through the gears. The engine pulls very strong and is very responsive. The brakes have an excellent feel and free from any fade or grinding and the suspension and steering are very tight free from any looseness. All of the electrical items are operating on this 928 including the headlights, exterior and interior lights, dash lights and warning lights (power mirrors are not working and the driver window switch is a little touchy but does work). There are no warning lights on the dash and the radio and AC are functioning as they should. There is no rust on the 928 and the undercarriage is very clean and original with no signs of any prior damage or repairs. Accompanied with the sale of this gorgeous 928 is the original owners handbook, the original Porsche book pouch, the radio book, an extensive service file on the car dating back to the 1980's to current, the original jack, spare, tool kit and original Porsche cut key. This is a fantastic early example of one of the most iconic Porsche models built rarely seen in this kind of condition with this extensive of work just completed.
