Description

1971 Porsche 911 T TargaStorage Find Survivor - 1 Repaint.Original Factory Tangerine Orange TargaPlease watch the 7 Minute video in this listing and check out the 100 Pics listed. This 911t Targa is an amazing survivor car that has had one repaint and will need maintenance before road worthy. This is a factory Tangerine Orange Targa (very desirable), 5 Speed Manual with Air Conditioning. This car has been stored in an Airplane Hanger for the past 12 years. We did a complete fluid service prior to string to start and we had success in her firing over. Since I original planned to keep this car I had the CDI Box professionally restored, brand new Coil that is 100% correct for this car, New Correct Plugs, Correct Plug Wires and the original Distributor rebuilt, the car then fired over but she also runs and drives. However to get her to drive we had to adjust the clutch out as far as it would adjust to get the clutch to work, so she needs a new clutch. She does also smoke when you start her up, the smoke goes some away after letting her warm up, but still smokes some. We have not worked on the carbs at all just cleaned out the fuel tank and fuel lines and ran Seafoam in the carbs initially. Body, she is exceptional. The underbody, inside the engine bay, under the carpet and under the front hood is all solid; we didn't find any typical rust issues. The Targa top is also excellent for being original. Original Spare Tire, Original Owners Manual with 1st and 2nd Owner information. Unless you find a super low mile perfect survivor and pay triple the price; this is the best find for a metal bumper pre-fuel injection Porsche Targa that you can make perfect in your time and save money. The ONLY reason I'm selling her is I found another 911 even in way worse condition that I'm going to restore instead. I am not looking to sell this Porsche off ebay to a wholesaler; I don't need to sell it, I want her to go to a buyer that is planning to keep and complete her. Priced right and way better then average and most. This is NOT a "what's your bottom dollar" type of sale. I own two companies that build and restore high-end American classics; some we sell on ebay. See my feedback and I have references, I don't play games and I'm straight forward. I have a Buy It Now price if you don't want to miss out. You can reach me at 682-333-7433 with any questions, name is Ron.
