Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1970 Porsche 911E non-sunroof coupe. Exquisitely finished in correct Tangerine, this car is a nicely restored and well-maintained example accompanied by records dating to the early 1990s. Numbers-matching 2.2 was rebuilt (with Carrera timing chain tensioners) in 2005 around 10k miles ago; clutch, gearbox overhaul with new synchros, plus new axles in 2012; complete MFI and ignition rebuild with new CDI box in 2013. Major engine-out service with reseal in 2016. Tens of thousands of dollars in service and restoration receipts (the total exceeds the asking price of the car). This 911 runs and drives beautifully and feels "dialed in" -- it has no known mechanical needs.
Cosmetically excellent, the car saw a bare-metal repaint in 2013 with new trim, rubbers and lenses. Good original glass plus new windshield. Correct 14-inch Fuchs with newer Yokohamas (yes, 14-inch Fuchs were standard on the US-market comfort package 911E). Interior presents well with nice door panels (with pockets intact), dash, seat upholstery and headliner. Newer square-weave carpet and restored leather-wrapped steering wheel. Period Blaupunkt in dash powers on and lights up but makes no sound (not that you need any soundtrack aside from that flat six coming on cam high in the rev range).
Matching spare, jack, tools, stacks of records organized in a binder, and Certificate of Authenticity included with the sale. For more information about this 1970 Porsche 911 E coupe for sale at Motorcar Studio in Atlanta, please call 404-692-5250.
