1984 Porsche 911 Carrera - Cabriolet
Description
This Porsche 911 has been in the family for 35 years.
In 1985 Newport Imports put a steel widebody kit on the car, with a whale tail. Most of the 1990s it sat in storage. It was passed down to me 5 years ago.
Since then the following has been done. NEW fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel lines, fuel injectors, rebuilt gears, new clutch, new master cylinder, small fixes to the convertible top latches, window controls and an upgraded stereo with a powered Bazooka subwoofer. Once a year oil and spark plugs replaced. The total upgrades are well over $18k.
The car runs very smooth, with no leaks. A Steve Wong performance chip has been added, along with a cat-delete pipe, so it has a nice roar to it. The A/C belt has been removed to put less stress on the engine. The Porsche hot box air filter has been upgraded to a K&N Air Filter.
I have all parts that have been removed from the car, plus many extras. The dash is a bit sun warped (common for Porsche). The heater works as does the power windows and driver only power seat. Paint would be the next phase for this car. It has some areas that need to be fixed. But if you paint this car you will never drive it. From 10 feet away it looks beautiful.
It has the rare sport bucket leather seats, a front bra, car cover. The top has a small tear that has been repaired.16" forged alloy Fuchs wheels with new tires, true dualexhaust. It has current CA registration. This car has always been garaged and is rust-free.
