1956 Porsche 356A 1600 Speedster "garage find": Stored indoors near Gridley CA and not driven since 1971; unrestored original body; numbers-matching engine and transmission; excellent panel fit; original floors and longitudinals. Original factory Kardex verifies all numbers (see pictures). Hidden away for 48 years until late last year when we purchased it. We inventoried everything and re-assembled removed parts, and almost nothing was missing. Our lead tech rebuilt the carburetors, changed the oil, replaced the plugs, etc, and it started right up: runs strong on all cylinders. True solid numbers-matching Speedsters are hard to come by; most of them were raced and had the original engines replaced many times. This Speedster's running gear is untouched and original. Overall condition and history suggest the original miles are 109,528 since new. Engine runs well; all mechanical systems need to be checked prior to driving.
