Here is a 1968 Porsche 912 Targa with Recaro seats. The car has a 1970 911 T 2.2L 6 cylinder engine with 5 speed gear box. I want to start by saying I want and encourage you to call or email me with questions. I have taken tons of detailed photos so please feel confident in bidding. I will gladly get you additional photos of anything or answer any questions you may have. I am an avid lover of vintage vehicles and FULLY REALIZE alot of times pictures can be deceiving. I will gladly face time you with anything about the car you care to see as well as answer any questions as well as I can. Just a year ago the car ran with no issues. It has sat up for the time between now and then. I just started the car briefly by just flushing some gas in the carbs. It runs with no odd noises or smoking. The throttle, clutch, and brake pedal do work and return when applied. The car ROLLS freely.. In fact all the instrument cluster backlights work as well as the dimmer switch for them. The interior or map lights work both front and backseats. Windshield wipers work, blinkers, headlights, running lights etc. The 5 speed gearbox shifts with ease with no hanging up in any gear. Trunk latch pops easily as well. The driver door has a dent I have noted in the photos. The targa top is badly dry rotted and needs replacing. It easily comes off and secures in place though. All of the glass in the car is good and the windows go up and down freely. The Recaro seats are in great shape considering the age. One of the headrest has a tear in it. The vanity mirrors are both there as well as the rear view mirror. The factory shifter knob is in the car but an aftermarket one is on the shifter now. Door panels are pretty good. Driver door needs an inside handle. The factory gauges and glass faces are in great shape and all work as well as the illuminating back lights. The headlights, headlight glass lens, and chrome headlight bezels are in excellent shape. Under both doors the rocker panels look great with no rust. I showed pictures of both. The driver floor pan does have some rust but the section is not that large. Both driver and passenger rear floor pans would need replacing. The backseat floor pans are what I am referring to. The radio is missing, Glass is good. The tires all stay aired up except for the rear passenger. Its need of replacement. The spare in the trunk as well. The motor in the car was replaced with a 1970 911 T 2.2L 6 cylinder engine with Zenith carbs. The motor number is 6190997.The original color of the car was green. It has been repainted as you see but the paint does need to be re done. It is a little washed out and dull. The metal on the car is solid. It need some body work on both doors and around the rear quarters. This car is an EXCELLENT EXCELLENTcandidatefor a full resto..
THE DOORS, HOOD TRUNK FRONT FENDERS, REAR FENDERS ARE NOT I REPEAT ARE NOT RUSTED THROUGH. They may have a few surface spots you but this issuperficial. They are all VERY SOLID. The exhaust is all there and intact. It is NOT rusted through or in need of replacing.
