European Motor Studio is excited to offer this 1982 Porsche 928S 5-Speed finished in Platinum Metallic over Brown leather. After completion at the Stuttgart factory in Germany in February of 1982, this 928S was invoiced to Porsche North America where it then sold new to its first owner in Greenwich Connecticut. Early service history shows the Greenwich dealership had serviced the car all through the 80's until the car then moved to Southern CA when the second owner bought the... car in 1995. Just out of the second ownership, this 928 has just had a service done, including new tires, new shifter bushings and a new battery and an AC recharge. The Platinum Metallic paint is about 60% original and shows well for the cars age. There are a few small marks on the hood (can be seen in one of the pics) where the clear has just started to show age but not faded or cracked. The paint on the front two fenders top surface is just starting to show some signs of age as well. The rub strip in the driver door has a small crack in it and a few stone chips in the front nose are visible. There are two small chips in the front windshield which have been filled. The trim shows well for the cars age with no real issues or any damage. The polished slotted Porsche wheels show very well with an excellent shine still to them. The interior is all original and does show age marks and wear marks but no actual tears. The driver bolster has some aging and cracking and the driver seat side where the release button is has cracking and creasing. The passenger lower seat bottom has some aging and some shrinkage visible but again nothing damage or torn. The center console and dash leather is in good shape with no cracking or tears. The leather around the upper dash defrost vents is peeling back with some shrinkage and the dash pinnacle pod shows very well with no cracking or shrinkage. The leather wrapped steering wheel does not have the typical wear or shrinkage. Mechanically the V8 engine is very strong and pulls very well. The gearbox is nice and tight and does not show any signs of synchro issues which is common in 1st and 2nd. The clutch feels excellent with no signs of issues. The AC blows ice cold and the cooling fans kick on when they are supposed to and work well. The steering is nice and tight with no sloppiness or drifting issues. The power windows, power locks, power seats, radio, headlights, power antenna (only retracts about half way) are all functioning as they should. Paperwork dating back to the early 90's is present with the car including the original service book with early dealer stampings through the 1980's. The original Porsche owners handbook and original keys are also present. This is a great opportunity to get into a Porsche 928S that has a proper gearbox, nice history and draped in a very handsome period color combination.
