1979 Porsche 928 Coupe, red with black leather (what's left of it) upholstery, 4.5 litre V8 engine, 5-speed standard gearbox, odometer shows 99,950 miles (believed to be original). This car, up until 10 day ago,was parked outdoors for 4-5 years and left in place. The previous owner started the car approximately 4 months ago (the current owner has not attempted/will not attemptto start the car - preferably, the next owner performs a comprehensive evaluation of the mechanicals before turning the key). The brakes are not locked and the car rolls. Tires are old and weathered with cracks but they hold air. The glass is in good condition. Overall, the body is in fairly good condition but there is slight damage to the right rear corner as well as the right front corner. There are a handful of minor scratches throughout and the roof has minor hail damage (but oddly enough, the hood and other skyward facing panels do not). There is a scrape at the rear of the passenger door/leading edge of the right rear quarter panel. Some small areas of clearcoatare missing and a couple of window edgings have pulled away slightly. The drivers door handle is inoperable from the outside but functions from the inside. Slight bubbling around the Porsche crest on the hood and at the bottom of the driver's door. The front grill and the muffler are missing. But the worst part is the interior which needs to be re-done.
There are two sets of keys and the Warranty & Maintenance book in the original burgundy vinyl pouch (sold new at Forest Lane Porsche Audi in Dallas, TX). Clear Illinois title. High-resolution photos of the blemishesare available and can emailed to interested parties.
The car is being sold as is-where is with no warranty/guarantee expressed or implied of any kind. Cash or bank wire transfer only - no credit cards or PayPal payments.
