1970 Porsche 914 V-8 Conversion with Small Block Chevy
Description
1970 Porsche 914 V-8 Conversion. This is a Porschev Conversion done in the 90s. It has a Chevy 305 with a Mild Cam and Pete Jackson Timing Gear. The Engine was Rebuilt About 3 Years or Approximately 1500 Miles Ago. The Speedo Does Work, The Odometer Does Not Work at this Time. Mileage Stated is Approximately What is on The Engine Since Rebuild. The Block is from 1977-1978 based on the Numbers on it. The CV Shafts are Upgraded 930 type and the Transmission was Reworked when the Conversion was done. First gear is not locked out and it is like a Granny gear. The Longs are Braced and Very Solid. The Floors are Solid with a Solid Repair at the Left Side of the Drivers Pan as Shown. The Battery Tray Area is Solid as Shown. The Interior is Pretty Much Stock with a Few Splits Taped on the Driver Seat as Shown. I Believe the Color is Blut Orange or Blood Orange. The Radiator has 2 Fans, One Mounted on each side, one Pulling, One Pushing. It has a Fresh Mechanical Temp Gage and Runs Between 180 and 190 Degrees. The Owner that did the Conversion had Brutus in mind, the 914 that Ferdinand Piech's Daughter Corina Hot Rodded with a One of a Kind 2.9 Liter that Produced 345 H.P. Not Positive What the Number is on this V-8, but Close to 300 Would be Accurate. And Yes, the Pop Up Headlights Do Work as Shown.
