Description

This is a beautiful example that doesn't disappoint. The car is complete and ready to run. If you are shopping for a 928, then you know that this car chews up the highway with a head turning growl like no other GT on the road. A super car of it's era that still holds true to today with many features found in modern cars like ABS and dual air bags, factory anti-theft alarm. This car also has PSD; this is a 0-100% variable ratio limited-slip (Porsche Sperr Differential) This system is much like the one from the 959 and gives the vehicle even more grip in turns. I have taken great care of this car. It has never seen rain since I have owned it. Always garaged at night and stored through the winter months. In my ownership, within the last year, I had the car professionally serviced to include: vacuum fittings (under the intake) repaired, all fuel injector seals replaced, water pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioner rebuilt, tensioner pads replaced, all belts, all coolant hoses, valve cover gaskets. Transmission service including filter, gasket, fluid. Brake fluid flush including PSD service. Fresh antifreeze replaced. Had the Flex plate checked to include any necessary adjustment on the drive shaft collar. Additionally within the past year, I have replaced the hood struts, ignition module (Bosch), and headlight relay. Oil changes have been routine. The paint is original, the interior is original. Both are in great shape and I have been told that the dark blue exterior and dark blue interior is rare. I have not seen one like it in my model year. When you sit in the car, the leather still feels new with very little wear and no rips. I love that smell of leather when you first get in the car. The dash has one small crack on the passenger side and the instrument pod leather has a crack in it as well. Not very noticeable and the dash condition has not worsened in my ownership. For the exterior, it is a dark blue that shines wonderfully. Don't get me wrong, the car is not perfect, but for an original car, it looks great with only a few scratches and a ding here and there. Looking at it, you almost forget that the car is 26 years old! But be reminded, that yes, it IS a 26 year old car and will not be perfect! Items that the previous owner serviced on the car: He also serviced the Timing Belt and Water pump during his ownership, replaced all brake pads and rotors (zinc plated), replaced the power steering rack, Power steering reservoir/filter, replaced all shock absorbers (BOGE), replaced alternator, replaced A/C compressor, replaced CV boots, installed a muffler bypass. The car runs and drives great, and sounds absolutely badass. The cup wheels are in great shape and the tires are also very good. Other cool features: an old school retractable Alpine NAV unit that works. Things about the car that I have lived with: the doors and hatchback can be unlocked with the key (just like every car), but no central locking or remote hatch. The only reason I am selling the car is because I just picked up a 1990 928 GT (with the manual transmission) and I can't see keeping two cars. RESERVE PRICE IS LOW, so bid to win!! Disclaimer: Again, just to remind you that the car isn't perfect, it is 26 years old and as such, there are no guarantees nor warranty implied and the car will be sold "as is". Please, only bid if you have recent feedback; otherwise, contact me prior to bidding. I reserve the right to sell my car locally. 250 dollar non- refundable deposit required within 48 hours of winning bid. Cash preferred, but if you must bring a bank check, it will have to clear my bank before I release the car to you. Pick up locally, or I can help with coordinating shipping on my end, but I will not pay for shipping.
