There are several different companies that make recreations of the iconic Porsche 356, but Intermeccanica is known to be the best. Custom ordered to spec, this 1959 Convertible D is finished in Mercedes Beige Gray and is complemented by a Coffee Bean interior and top. With such low mileage, the highly polished exterior is still in pristine condition, as well as the canvas convertible top and tonneau cover. Inside the cockpit, the leather seats and dash are the perfect contrast against the wool square weave mats and carpeting, and the wood Feldman steering wheel only adds to the character of this car. Along the lower part of the dash is the cleverly located air conditioning system too.
When you step around the back of the car, pop the bonnet and you'll see the immaculate engine bay that houses the 1,776 Type 1 VW engine, tuned to "Super 90" spec. Custom built, it's fed by dual 40mm IDF Weber carburetors and produces 100 horsepower. This 356 is nothing but fun and its at home either cruising around town or on the freeway! Shifts are crisp, braking is quick, and the car rides smooth and tight at all speeds.
The color combination and overall fit and finish of this convertible D is nothing short of perfection. Dont miss the chance to own this 356, give us a call to schedule a showing and see how nice this Intermeccanica really is, down to The Last Detail.
