~~This 1979 Porsche 930 Turbo with 58k miles and its original engine and transmission. This is a great driving 930 that took on a trip from Los Angeles to Houston back in 2010. The car has had 5 owners one of which kept it over 25 years. The car has its original Silver Color (code 936-9-3, and remains stock and unmodified throughout with factory sport seats. The sale includes service records, original owners’ manual, service booklets, original keys and Porsche key code tag, and tool kit. The car is sold with a clean Texas title.
An automotive milestone that has found its place in history
Paintwork looks good and the car retains a deep shine and nice gloss.
The car is retains all its original trim and rubber in good condition. Rear chip guards are free of cracking.
Early 930s like this example had each of their flares welded on by hand to the 911 shell at the factory, while later production versions had 911 Turbo-only body panels that were stamped as one piece.
The fitted wheels are correctly date-coded 16″ diameter and 7″ and 8″ wide, front and rear respectively. They were refinished over a one year period by Fuchs expert Harvey Weidman.
The factory black leather interior looks very nice with good leather surfaces and carpets still retain factory as-new sheen. Deeply bolstered factory sport seats are a great option and these remain soft and supple.
The dash is free of cracks, and the car is said to be free of squeaks and rattles.

A/C is original and will need a gas charge
The engine remains stock and looks tidy with its original valve covers and cosmoline protective coating. Recent Services performed included new brake pads, fresh fluids and Blaupunkt stereo The battery was replaced this spring. Apart from that, the car has only required annual oil changes using Mobil 1 .
Engine number # can be seen above, and is confirmed as original. The engine has never been apart and retains its factory Porsche build tolerances.
1978-1979 930 brakes feature floating rotors with a special drilled pattern similar to the 917 race car, and the calipers are also a 917 derivative though with shallower cooling fins. All of these items on this 930 remain correct and original.
