Description

1966 Porsche 911 coupe #303688 polo red with black interior.
This is a rare Early SWB 911 in excellent condition with a wooden dash and steering wheel and COA matching. . This is a rare collector car that was found stored in a barn for 35+ years. The best part was that there was never any rust or accidents. The car has just gone through a 2 year restoration in our shop. The polo red paint is the original colo, a proper high Quality Paint job was done yes, the windows were out and car was taken to bare metal.
Interior was re-done in Black Leatherette (as original) with all German materials from Auto's International. The dash, headliner and carpets were also done. All the rubbers and seals were replaced with only German OEM parts
Palo Alto Speedometer did all the gauges.
Engine is the original 2.0 liter with matching #s and rebuilt to factory specs with all German parts. This engine is a 901/05 one of the first to come from the factory with Weber Carbs (they are also rebuilt).
The original transmission was rebuilt and new shifter bushings were also installed. All the suspension was removed and rebuild and, yes, this is a Knoi strut and shock car. Brakes were also done and a new duel master cylinder and hoses were installed. This is a great example SWB car, a great collector car, solid, correct and and it runs great too.
The car has a clear California title and is being offered at below Hargerty value. The Fuchs wheels did not come on the car from the factory. However, I do have a nice set of original Chrome rims with hubcaps if you would rather have them that would not be a problem.
If you have any questions, want more pictures or want to inspect the car (which is always recommended) this must be done before bidding (or even making an offer).
I am willing to take an interesting project Porsche 911 or 356 in as part trade.
