1992 Ferrari Testarossa TR512 Race car replica V8 on tube chassis. One of the best quality builds you will find, guaranteed. Well over $150 000 to build this car over the course of many years. I’m a second owner. Pictures don’t do it justice, needs to be seen in person to appreciate the quality and workmanship that went into this build.
- Front suspension is C4 Corvette that has been converted to adjustable coil over shocks.
- Rear suspension is custom with adjustable twin coil over shocks and billet uprights. Looks and works amazing.
-Brakes are Wilwood 6 piston front and 4 piston rear and 2 piece rotors . Brakes have two Wilwood brake boosters and a proportioning valve. The 3 master cylinders are Howe Chassis components.
-Wheels are ultra-rare super light magnesium Dymags 17x9.5 front with 275 tires and 17x11 rears with massive 315 rear tires. These alone are worth over $5000.
-Engine is a 465 hp 383 Chevy with AFR heads built by Rick Kippley. 750 Holley double pumper, MSD distributor and ignition box.
-Transaxle is a Porsche G5 5-speed.
-Cooling system includes dual radiators and expansion tanks.
- Headers are hand welded stainless.
- Beautiful stainless exhaust with billet mufflers with center exit below license plate.
- Fuel system is a front mounted fuel cell and pump. There are 2 fuel cells one for racing using switching valve.
Interior and cockpit are from a Fiero but this is by no means a fiero build, full tube frame chassis runs front to back. Car has just over 1000 miles on it. Everything works on the car. The best part is the way this car drives and handles. You have to experience it. It is FAST. The Porsche transmission is tuned absolutely perfect. I own a real Lamborghini Diablo and this car performs very similar, probably even faster. This is technically a street legal race car!!!!
Each panel of this car was built separately, so all panels are removable, fenders, rockers, quarter panels, bumpers etc. all individual pieces. Bolted on separately and easily removable as on a factory car. Paint job is absolutely stunning well over $10k spent on paint alone. The Italian flag is not a sticker but perfectly executed part of the paint job and looks amazing. If its not you cup of tea right of the bet you will grow to love it. Fitment of panels throughout the car is amazing with perfect gaps. All lights on the car except headlight are original and worth thousands of dollars. Rear grill is also original Ferrari. Front lip is original Ferrari 512TR. Headlight covers are removable to expose the headlights that are mounted under the hood. There is no overheating issues with this car, cooling system is design as should with functional aluminum fins behind the doors direct air flow in the dual radiators keeping this car at solid 180 degrees. Car is registered and titled in Illinois as a 1974 special constitution build and has a assigned VIN number. I can go on and on about it but you need to see the car.
