Description

1937 Rolls Royce Phantom IIIChassis number 3BT175
This car is perhaps one of the finest examples of the famous Rolls Royce Phantom III that is driven on a regular basis. The car has been restored, maintained, and cared for at the highest level by its current owner since 2000.
It is a three position drop head (cabriolet deville) built by Hooper (only three position drop head built by Hooper) and considered one of the most important Phantoms ever built. The car is in 100% mechanical condition, and the engine is in excellent cosmetic condition. The car has been fully rebuilt and restored to original specification aside from electronic ignition (Pertronics) which can be switched back if desired. Cosmetic restoration done by D&D in Ohio with no expense spared. We have the complete Spectre which goes with the car, along with all receipts (two large D ring binders) for work done to the car since owned by current owner in 2001. A custom cabinet built byStull Woodworks was added to the rear cabin of the car and built to original specification via drawings found for cabinetry originally made for Phantom IIIs. It includes adecanter and two glasses, cigar humidor, and stationary set.
We have the complete specification, history, and details including the cars list of owners available upon request.
Additional extras that go with this car:
  • Custom Bill Hirsch cover
  • New touring tires on the car plus a full set (6) of Firestones in the size originally specified, use for show only
  • Full set of "Spectre", the PIIITS set of articles that make up a shop manual for the car
  • Duplicates of tools available from PIIITS that are not part of the car's regular tool kit.
  • Custom Mapin & Webb glassware designed and made specifically for this car under our ownership.
