Description

Body-off restoration completed in 2013. (over 600 pictures of the process are available) Everything under the fiberglass body was either repaired or replaced, including all suspension components. Every singe nut, bolt, screw, washer was removed and either cleaned or replaced and re-installed. Bilstein shocks were sent to Bilstein and re-built. The motor was disassmbled, heads serviced, all gaskets and seals replaced. Replaced carburetor with WEBER 34-ICH. Repaired clutch throw out arm and replaced clutch pressure plate, clutch disc, and throwout bearing. Transmission flushed and new gear oil installed. The fiberglass body is in good shape. It could use a re-paint if you want a museum ready car. It was last painted in the 1980's and was a very high quality paint job for that time, but there are the usual scratches and imperfections to be expected with its age and an older paint job. Soccer ball wheels were completely overhauled and powdercoated and four new Yokohama tires installed. The headliner was replaced, and all carpeting cleaned. Defroster vents 3-d printed along with radio bezel for original radio and for area around ash tray and cigarette lighter. Speedometer re-built by Jack Ashcraft. All rubber door seals replaced. Windshield is original to the car and has some pitting and one small imperfection. (see photos) Aside from a Weber 34 carb, some additional side impact bracing and engine bay bracing, and modern radio (hidden in glove compartment) this car is stock and original as it would have been in 1973. Mileage is unknown but has roughly 1,300 miles since restoration was completed.
