Description

Up for sale is a 1988 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible in very nice condition. My father bought this car in 2013 and according to CarFax he was the fourth owner. He passed away in November of last year and I have been selling some of the cars from his collection. The car has 54,301 miles which appears to be original miles according to CarFax. He had it professionally repainted with good quality PPG base/clear products a year or so after buying it and it has been stored indoors since then. The paint and body look great, with no rust or dents. There are however a few minor paint chips, two of which are on the trunk near the key hole and on the edge of the driver's door. There is no rust in the undercarriage or body.
The car had an overheating issue last summer and was taken to The SAAAB Store in Tampa. At that time, the radiator, water pump, radiator hoses, coolant tank, CV boots, power steering return hose, head gaskets, misc oil seals, alternator bearings and brushes, belts, oil and filter, air filter, PCV valve, miscellaneous vacuum lines, and tachometer were replaced. I just installed a new battery and wiper blades prior to listing the car for sale. The car runs, drives, and shifts very well. It has matching tires with very low mileage on them. The heater core has been bypassed but the A/C blows cold. The car is 100% stock with the exception of an Alpine Bluetooth head unit and speakers.
The top was replaced just before my dad bought the car in 2013 and it goes up and down correctly but I have found it works easier if you give it a little push to get it started as it is separating from the top of the windshield. It has no leaks or tears.
The only issues with the car are as follows: The original leather seating surfaces are dry and cracking. My dad purchased leather hides to have the seats reupholstered but passed away before being able to do so. The hides are in the trunk and are included with the car. The top of the dash has some hairline cracks as well, which I would touch up with black silicone if I were keeping the car, but I'll let the next owner make that decision. The drivers door panel has some damage to its covering along the base of the window, as seen in the pictures. The windshield has a chip near the rearview mirror, as seen in one of the pictures. There is a small section of carpet missing in the right front corner of the trunk, as seen in one of the photos. Otherwise, everything is very nice for the car's age.
I have a clean and clear FL title in hand for the car.
