1974 74 Saab Sonett III Sonnet V4

Description

Reasonably complete Sonett III with rebuilt engine, good transmission (free-wheeling locked out), and many parts. The Sonett would make a good parts car or possible restoration, but would need new floor and trunk pans, brake lines, and probably other parts that have rusted. All glass and body panels, but in fair condition as would be expected from an unrestored car this age, except for the damage to the bonnet which can be seen in the photos. The car is riding high in the front because the engine and transmission are out of it. Study the pictures carefully and feel free to contact me for more pictures.
Note that the car does not have the "soccer ball" wheels, but I am including two additional steel wheels. No grill, no radio, no alternator. The engine was rebuilt (but not started) with new rings, bearings, & seals. We kept the original pistons. The engine is not the original engine. The wipers and other electrical parts worked before the car was taken off the road. I cannot guaranty that they still do.
The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. The car has been sitting for about ten years, so the wheels may not turn. Buyer will need a flatbed or dolly to raise the rear wheels. Buyer will also need a pickup or van, etc., to carry the engine, transmission, and several boxes of parts. The car should be removed within 14 days after the auction closes.
