Factory five racing, Shelby Cobra replica, 1965. This is a bucket list car! Titled as a 1965, so in Missouri it is exempt from emissions. This car has mostly new components. The engine is a 306 Ford, with edelbrock performer aluminum heads, ford roller rockers, Ford "E" roller cam, polished intake manifold, Barry Grant 650 carburetor. The ignition system MSD6AL box, MSD distributor, chrome alternator. The front of the engine has March pullies, and custom made cobra valve covers. Optima red top battery, aluminum radiator for great cooling, fuel system is done with braided stainless lines, fuel, oil, brake, and billet Mallory fuel pump. The wiring is all new Ron Francis harness that has been cleanly installed, concealed and hidden. Suspension on the car has tubular control arms, upper, and lower, with adjustable coil over shocks all around. Also has Flaming River rack and pinion steering. The rear axle is an 8.8 Ford, with Richmond 3.73 gears, and Auburn pro posi and hardened axles. Willwood 6 piston calipers and 2 pice brake rotors, rear are 4 willwood 4 piston with internal parking break, wheels are 17" cobra replica knockoff wheels with 5 lug spindles. The transmission is a 5 speed manual with a King Cobra clutch. Exhaust: stainless side pipes, ceramic coated long tube headers, Interior is a vintage look, with wooden steering wheel and reverse sweep speedometer. Simpson racing harnesses, heat shielding under the carpet, finished interior door panels. Roll bar is chrome as well as the bumper jacks.The paint and body work were professionally done in GM silver galaxy with black stripes. Extreme care went into the build and was Aalborg of love.
