1968 Ford Shelby GT 500 KR Mustang 428 CJ 4 speed air VIDEO!

Up for sale from The Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado. This 1968 Shelby GT 500 KR #8T02R210272-03656 4 speed with airwassent to a Dealer inArizona then deliveredanother one in New Jersey. The first owner sold the Shelby to the second owner in Marion, IA. At some point the KR made its way back to Arizona thento Colorado. We know oftwo owners here and the first one brought it from Phoenix.My client here has had done just short of a rotisserie restoration spanning over 15 years wile driving and enjoying the car. At some point the original CJ block was replaced with a period correct 428 but has a December of 1968 date code, the Shelby was built in June. In 2007 The Motor and transmission were removed here at The Ranch. It required just a light rebuild and had all the basic parts and bolt on's replaced to do the job right "to many to list". She retains her original transmission, rear end and all of the Shelby components. I must say that of my 40 years in this industry this is one of the cleanest shells I have ever seen. There is NO signs of collision, damage or metal replacement what so ever on this car!She also retains her original Shelby, door, windshield and Buck tags. The complete front suspension/ brake system have been rebuilt as well. As you can see the interior has been freshened up to. In 2011 the body was redone in theoriginalAcapulco Blue metallic paint with the White Le Mans stripes. Base coat clear coat with a cut buff and polish finish, a #8+ in my opinion. This Shelby is well sorted out. Everything works on this car with the exception of the ac and has been enjoyed occasionally over the years. We have roughly calculatedless than 1,000 miles on all of this work.I have had this KR out on the highway, the motor starts right up no noises, smoke or leaks. The clutch,forward/ reverse gears engage smooth and the motor has great power. In my opinion this KR is totally road worthy and can be placed right into service.
