1969 Shelby Mustang GT500
Description
1969 Shelby GT500 #1025 in the 97 Shelby World Registry. We owned this car for 47 years, Only left front fender, right quarter was painted prior to 1972 the rest of the paint is 50 years old. Interior is untouched and still maintains a "New Car" smell.
Original engine was scattered when it had 4:11's, it now has the factory 3:50 gear, it was replaced with another balanced and blueprinted Period Correct 428CJ in 1988 around 550 hp. Ran 11.03 in its hey day, still running around 12.30's. The C6 automatic has been machined out and extra clutch discs added, it chirps the tires between 1st and 2nd, my father was a machinist and machine shop instructor. Original Floor Pans, Torque Boxes, Rocker Panels, Quarter Panels including wheel wells are SOLID. Both doors have small rust spots where the drain holes plug up. Cell 330-501-3340
