1950 Studebaker Landcruiser Collector Car AND 1950 Studebaker Champion parts car
Description
A TRUE "Barn Find"! PLUS it's 2 for the price of 1! This is a 1950 Studebaker Landcruiser bought NEW by my wife's grandpa in 1949. In about 1959, grandpa bought a wrecked 1950 Studebaker Champion as a parts car. The Landcruiser was driven until the early 1980's, and was then parked in the barn, along with the Champion. A few years ago, I bought them and stored them inside my shed, with the intent to restore the Landcruiser. I later moved the Champion outside. Unfortunately, I've never had the money or the time to do the restoration. I'd like to see the Landcruiser restored while my mother-in-law is around. So, I'd ask whoever buys them to give her a ride when you're done. There was some rust on the Landcruiser fenders, but the fenders are solid on the Champion, and the rears have already been installed on the Landcruiser. The front fenders from the Champion have also been removed and are ready to be installed. This was the first of two years for the "Bullet Nose", and the noses are in good shape on both cars. I also have the original hood ornaments for both. Both cars have the "Suicide doors", flat-head straight 6 engines and 3 on the tree transmissions. The Landcruiser is basically a luxury, "stretched" version of the Champion. The Landcruiser has some really cool innovative features - - such as a crank up antenna, side-vents and AM radio. Both cars are being sold for one price. Buyer must take both. You'll also get a copy of the owner's manual, a magazine advertisement and a shop manual. Please only bid if you're committed to restoring the Landcruiser to its original glory. I really want my mother-in-law to see it running again!
