1949 Studebaker 2R5 1/2 Ton pickup
Original Engine - 170ci 6 cylinder Champion
Original transmission - 3 speed manual with working overdrive
Original 6 volt system
Original dashboard (all guages work, though fuel tank may need a new sending unit)
Working defroster/heater
New carburetor
New fuel pump
New bushings
New kingpins
New Swayarm
New battery
New starter button
Conversion to disc brakes and 4 pin calipers (in the front, stock drums in the rear)
Dual reservoir master cylinder
Bed was reframed by previous owner with 20gauge steel all around
No funky add-ons that you would have to take off. The truck is straight forward and ready to be cared for.
Runs and drives. Goes forward, backward, left and right. The horn, lights, map light all work. Great starter project truck.
Comes with the new cab corners, door sills, second transmission, original bench seat (was replaced with seat from Chevy Astrovan), new window seals, and a box of miscellaneous parts.
Needs some TLC. Don't be afraid of a Studebaker. Parts are still readily available and I can provide links to most of the parts you would need to restore this truck (if you chose to do so).
Unfortunately for me, I just don't have the time or the space to work on this truck anymore and need to part ways with the old girl. I'd rather see her go to a good new home than sit idle. She's a good old lady, in warm weather will start 1st or 2nd try every time. In the cold weather, well you've got to get her out of bed first.
NJ State Title is in hand.
Price is negotiable, but I know what I have into it and I know what I need to recoup to break even. I'll even throw in the shop manual and parts manual for free.
Please no trades. Some of you have some beautiful cars out there, but I'm not looking for a new project right now.
Lastly, I prefer conversation via email or text message. I don't really answer the phone unless you want to legitimately schedule a meet up to check her out.
